Founded in 1989 by businessman and designer Paul Ameloot, Delta Light® has established itself as a leader in architectural lighting. With its innovative lighting concepts, the company has an international reputation for subtle harmonies of atmosphere, elegance, functionality and design in both interior and exterior lighting. The future of Delta Light® is guaranteed since Peter and Jan Ameloot joined their father at the head of the company, bringing an extra dose of dynamism and ambition to the team.

Building on its reputation as an architectural lighting manufacturer, Delta Light has become the leader in lighting concepts for residential, commercial and professional environments. From small to very large projects in the residential, office, public sector, showroom, hotel and landscape architecture sectors, Delta Light has the product range, experience and know-how to meet your functional and aesthetic needs.

Over the years, Delta Light has based its growth on in-house design, R&D, quality control, testing and production. From design to production, packaging and warehousing, engineering and prototyping, everything is done at Delta Light's headquarters in Belgium.

The first 10 years
Before Delta Light, Paul Ameloot owned a store in Roeselare (Belgium) called Stereohouse, which offered a full service of hi-fi and lighting solutions for discotheques. During the 1980s, he noticed that his customers and clients were paying more and more attention to lighting and its applications. This was the beginning of a new adventure...

During these first 10 years, Paul and his team of 7 employees developed their first luminaire, the Phantom, which is still part of the current collection. Initially focusing on the Belgian market, Delta Light soon expanded its activities to 50 countries, establishing Delta Light offices in Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

The next 10 years
In 1999, Delta Light launched its third edition of "The Lighting Bible", a product brochure that has become a reference catalog. Now an international player, Delta Light has been present on the North American market since 2006 and on the Middle East and North Africa market since 2007.

The company took a major step forward in 2006 when it moved from Roeselare, the city of its origins, to a new building in Moorsele, aptly named "The House of Light".

From 2009 to the present day
Tackling new and expanding markets, Delta Light launched a Latin American subsidiary in 2009, opening offices and a showroom in Bogota, Colombia. Always striving to better serve the markets and its local partners and architects, Delta Light recently created Delta Light Asia and Delta Light REEMA (Russia, Middle East, Eastern Europe). Today, the company is present in more than 120 countries worldwide.

2017 will once again be a year of great projects and ambitions, with the expansion of the headquarters in Belgium, the launch of "The Lighting Bible 12" catalog, new collections and international flagship projects.
