Advice and fast quotations for all your projects
Neutral and elegant, grey is omnipresent in interior design. Refined and sophisticated, it also adapts well to industrial styles depending on the materials or the shapes and forms. It comes in a multitude of different shades and offers infinite possibilities of associations. It is not really a color but rather a light intensity perceived by our eyes, somewhere between black and white.
With metal bases as seen in the table lamp Bilia from FontanaArte and in plastic such as the pendant light Discoco from Marset, or in fabric for the pendant Hat from Eno Studio, these light fixtures come in as many shades of grey and materials as you can imagine and allow for numerous possibilities of contrast. The light emitted from grey creates a softened, calm and relaxing atmosphere.
Grey is obviously a tone that adapts everywhere and mixes & matches with everything. Grey light fixtures come in all décor styles and can be place in every room of the house. A blue-grey goes perfectly with blue tones while charcoal grey goes nicely with pink and purple tones. If a room is full of different colors, a grey light brings a touch of sobriety and elegance. It is also possible to accessorize a room totally in shades of grey, playing with tone on tones, creating an overall warm ambience.
Color is often associated with contemporary designer styles; as for grey light fixtures, they are heavily used in a very minimalist modern style as is true for the German brand Nyta offering the pendant Tilt Globe, or for the grey pendants in concrete by Gantlights.
