Structure, the simplest and most explicit word to define the way in which the participating elements of a system are organized in relation to each other. A structure is an assembly of elements enabling the transfer of the various forces applied to a whole to bring it into equilibrium.

Nicolas Pichelin, one of the co-founders of Structures, is a world champion sailor! That's where his passion for technological challenges comes from. It's all about holding together, with no room for error - because the crew's lives depend on it - rigs that are subjected to dynamic forces weighing tens of tons. It's a constant search for new solutions, new materials to test and implement.

In 2004, for the first time, Nicolas was asked by contemporary artists to propose innovative technical solutions. Based in Nantes, the two founders of Structures, Jean-François Michon and Nicolas Pichelin, continue to work in collaboration with artists, major French luxury brands and scenographers, with the aim of making their projects possible by proposing different and original technical solutions.

Since 2012, in addition to this exciting activity, Structures has been industrializing and marketing innovative design concepts, this time available to the general public, through a wide network of concept stores in France and internationally under the Structures brand.
