Tregren, formerly known as IndoorGarden, is a Finnish high-tech company specializing in the development and production of eco-friendly, contemporary gardens based on “Active Growing Technology.”

Tregren believes that food production is constantly moving closer to the consumer. The goal is to develop and manufacture consumer products for urban gardening: indoor gardens and vegetable gardens. Tregren’s indoor gardens embody contemporary Nordic design, where functionality and design come together to create durable and smart consumer products.

Tregren was founded in Finland in 2010; its first product, the Herbie indoor garden, was introduced at the Habitare design fair in Helsinki in September 2010. Herbie is the first second-generation hydroponic system that allows you to grow plants from seeds or use herb pots purchased at any supermarket. Since its launch, Tregren has sold more than 20,000 Herbie indoor gardens.
