Thibault Lerailler, designer, founder and artistic director, has an astonishing career path.
Just 7 years after graduating in Product Design and Innovation from the CREAPOLE creative management school, Thibault set out to create the Punctuate Design studio in 2019. Punctuate Design, which is based in Montreal, faithfully represents the image of its founder: a traveler with a thirst for projects that benefit the planet.
Thibault Lerailler worked from Paris, Hong Kong and New York before settling in Montreal. From Montreal, he and his team assist and support companies from different markets to design innovative, environmentally-friendly products.
The studio's 3 watchwords are sustainability, innovation and inclusivity.
Thibault Lerailler contributed fully to the creation of the Piccolo table lamp by collaborating with the French brand Jaune Fabrique. The result is a breathtaking luminaire that combines aesthetic appeal, with its sleek, 70s-style design, with modernity, thanks to its sound function. Piccolo also acts as a loudspeaker, with its integrated speakers and touch-sensitive Wifi, Bluetooth and Jack In music control system.
This luminous technical jewel was made possible thanks to the studio's representative milestones, which are : Research and Product Strategy, Concepts and Industrial Design, Prototyping and Testing.
Punctuate Design is recognized by the Fonds Ecoleader, the MEI and the Association de Designers Industriels de Québec, of which Thibault Lerailler is a member. Thibault Lerailler invests a great deal of time and energy in his projects, touching on a wide range of fields including design, sustainability, innovation and economics.
Such is his success that, just 4 years after founding the Punctuate Design studio, Thibault has made his mark on the sustainable innovation market, and is interviewed to talk about his sustainability project and his inspiration.
