Davide Groppi founded his brand in 1988 in the historic center of the Italian city of Piacenza.

At the cutting edge of technology, Davide Groppi is constantly innovating to create lighting fixtures where the wires disappear, allowing for greater freedom and simplicity. “I’ve always viewed wires and plugs as obstacles. As proof, I’ve often photographed my lamps without showing the connecting wires. It was a kind of wish for a world without them.” Wireless lamps fulfill a real need: the ability to direct light exactly where you want it.

Art plays a very important role in Davide Groppi’s collections. Davide Groppi lamps enhance works of art, notably those in the prestigious Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.

Davide Groppi has received numerous awards. In 2020, he won the German Design Award for the ChainDelier model. Since 2019, the Sampei floor lamp has even been illuminating the office of the President of the Republic at the Quirinale Palace.

Davide Groppi lighting fixtures are entirely manufactured in Italy.
