Fatboy needs no introduction—the small Dutch brand founded in 2002 has grown into a major player! This “playful” design house is the brainchild of Finnish designer Jukka Setälä and Dutch designer Alex Bergman.

These music lovers enjoyed listening to music while comfortably nestled in soft, cozy cushions in the early 2000s—the “cool attitude.”

It was while listening together to the band Fatboy Slim—specifically the song “Edgy”—that Jukka Setälä designed THE famous beanbag that would make them world-famous a few years later: that huge beanbag with its oversized, cool label!

Alex Bergman has successfully infused the brand with a true soul by continually creating design pieces that are functional, fun, and affordable.

Today, the Fatboy universe encompasses both indoor and outdoor decor, ranging from beach umbrellas to battery-powered lamps and hammocks. Always on-trend, fun in both color and function, Fatboy is constantly reinventing itself—and design enthusiasts love it.
