Design accessories, from Flos

Flos, founded in Italy in the early 1960s, was born of a simple but revolutionary idea: to redefine lighting by transforming lamps into objects that change everyday life.

Under the impetus of Dino Gavina, aided by Merano Eisenkeil, and with the collaboration of visionary designers such as Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Flos pushed back the boundaries of traditional lighting from the outset. Using innovative techniques such as the "cocoon" method, the brand designed iconic luminaires such as the Taraxacum, combining functionality and aesthetics. It has rapidly established itself as a key player in contemporary design, with a constant desire to reinvent the way spaces are inhabited and the idea of artificial lighting.

Over the decades, Flos has expanded internationally, acquiring other design companies such as Arteluce and collaborating with renowned designers such as Philippe Starck, Jasper Morrison and Konstantin Grcic. The 1972 exhibition at New York's MoMA established Flos as an avant-garde reference in the world of design. In addition to residential lighting, the brand diversified by developing solutions for large spaces and professional environments with Flos Architectural. Its models, which have become design icons, have left their mark on history, while contributing to the brand's continued growth.

Today, Flos is a global leader in design and lighting. By integrating new technologies, notably with the use of LEDs, and promoting the values of sustainability, with Flos for Planet, the brand continues to innovate. It stays true to its DNA by collaborating with international talent and adopting a strategy focused on digitalization and the circular economy. Flos retains its creative audacity, offering limited editions such as the Arco with a crystal base, or renewing an icon such as the Snoopy with a new finish.
