Founded in 2005 under the creative direction of Omer Arbel, Bocci is committed to fostering a collaborative and open relationship between creative direction and craftsmanship.


Based between Vancouver and Berlin, Omer Arbel navigates a fluid space at the intersection of architecture, sculpture, invention, and design. Central themes in his work include the intrinsic mechanical, physical, and chemical qualities of materials, as well as the exploration of light as a means of expression.


The company was launched with a lighting design titled “14,” which became an instant classic, a design staple, and one of the brand’s bestsellers.


Bocci’s collections of sculptural lighting are developed, designed, and manufactured in-house, thanks to an infrastructure tailored to ensure total control over technique, quality, and scale.


In 2015, Bocci transformed a historic building in Berlin into a showroom and archive. The “Bocci 79” light fixture was installed in a former courthouse spanning 2,200 m², built in 1896, and showcased more than a decade of Omer Arbel’s work, ranging from pieces in progress, prototypes, and ideas, to the full range of catalog pieces developed for Bocci.
