Davide Groppi founded his brand in 1988, in the historic center of the Italian city of Piacenza.

Simplicity, lightness, emotion, invention, surprise: these are the 5 hallmarks of Davide Groppi's luminaires. He strives to reveal new points of view, angles and surprising details. They are never simply lamps, but vectors of meaning.

At the cutting edge of technology, Davide Groppi constantly innovates to create luminaires where wires disappear for greater freedom and simplicity. "I've always considered wires and plugs to be obstacles. As proof, I often photographed my lamps without showing the connecting wires. It was a kind of wish for a world without them." Wireless lamps satisfy a real need, namely that of carrying light exactly where you want it.

Art has a very important place in Davide Groppi's collections. Davide Groppi lamps enhance works of art, including the prestigious Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.

Davide Groppi has won several awards. In 2020, he won the German Design Award for the ChainDelier model. Since 2019, the Sampei floor lamp has even been lighting the office of the President of the Republic in the Palazzo del Quirinale.

Davide Groppi lighting fixtures are produced entirely in Italy.
