Founded in 1989 by businessman and designer Paul Ameloot, Delta Light® has established itself as the leading provider of architectural lighting. The First 10 Years
Before Delta Light, Paul Ameloot owned a store in Roeselare (Belgium) called Stereohouse, which offered a full range of hi-fi and lighting solutions for nightclubs. During the 1980s, he noticed that his customers and project owners were paying increasing attention to lighting and its applications. This realization marked the beginning of a new adventure…

During those first 10 years, Paul and his team of seven employees developed their first luminaire, the Phantom, which is still part of the current collection. Initially focusing on the Belgian market, Delta Light soon expanded its operations to 50 countries, establishing Delta Light offices in Germany, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, among other locations.

The Next 10 Years
In 1999, Delta Light launched the third edition of “The Lighting Bible,” a product brochure that has since become a standard reference catalog. Now an international player, Delta Light has been active in the North American market since 2006 and in the Middle East and North Africa since 2007.

The company reached a major milestone in 2006 when it left Roeselare, its city of origin, to move into a new building in Moorsele, aptly named “The House of Light.”

From 2009 to the present day
Targeting new and expanding markets, Delta Light launched a Latin American subsidiary in 2009, opening offices and a showroom in Bogotá, Colombia. Always committed to better serving its markets as well as its local partners and architects, Delta Light recently established Delta Light Asia and Delta Light REEMA (Russia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe). Today, the company operates in more than 120 countries worldwide.

2017 will once again be a year marked by major projects and ambitious goals, with the expansion of its headquarters in Belgium, the launch of “The Lighting Bible 12” catalog, new collections, and flagship international projects.
