Our lighting, from Haos

The Haos brand was founded in January 2015 by Sophie Gelinet and Cédric Gepner. Both were driven by a desire to work on something concrete and tangible. Serving as designer, manufacturer, and distributor, Haos undertakes creative projects that emphasize the quality of materials and techniques.

Indeed, Sophie and Cédric draw on the expertise and craftsmanship of passionate artisans to create and refine their pieces. Their collaboration began with the design of a light fixture, which gave rise to their first collection, inspired by the assembly of ceramic pieces.

This first collection features light fixtures with clean lines, reminiscent of the aesthetics of the 1960s. Made from ceramic cylinders, brass components, and glass, these elements are assembled to create seven models of pendant lights and table lamps.

All Haos products are crafted using traditional techniques and produced in limited quantities. This approach is a deliberate choice by the two designers, who wish to leave room for chance and discovery.

All ceramic pieces are made in Normandy. The production process is very time-consuming and labor-intensive. In fact, more than ten production steps are required between molding and the final firing. As for the brass, it is crafted in the Île-de-France region.

The brand is founded on the philosophy of masterful artisanal craftsmanship in the service of a minimalist aesthetic.
