Each piece—often one-of-a-kind, sometimes monumental—is the result of a long process of reflection and imagination, followed by meticulous craftsmanship in which the artisan’s touch always remains at the heart of the work.
Brass remains the material of choice: when brushed, it creates a soft glow; when polished, it produces vivid flashes of light. Ultimately, it is, of course, the shadow—created by the very structure of each piece and by the interplay of multiple light sources—that serves as the fundamental element.

In its larger and better-equipped Parisian studio, Ombre Portée, while continuing to produce custom-made lighting fixtures, now dedicates part of its production to wider distribution, offering architects and interior designers a complete range of pieces faithful to the spirit that drives the brand.
