Plumen is the first designer of energy-saving light bulbs, launched in the UK in 2010.

The brand developed its first fluorescent bulb in collaboration with London-based Hulger and designer Samuel Wilkinson, called "La 001". Today, the brand presented "La 002" at Maison et Objet.

The name Plumen is a combination of the words "feather" and "lumen", referring to the unit of measurement of light. The brand's aim is to offer a high-quality, sustainable lighting creation with 80% energy savings, while retaining an innovative, visually striking design.

The company also offers pendant lights designed to showcase its own bulbs. The graphic aspect is directly inspired by the light source, and the suspension is placed at the service of the bulb.

Plumen products are exhibited in the world's leading design museums, including London's Victoria and Albert Museum, the Finnish Design Museum and New York's Cooper Hewitt Museum.

These bulbs are a designer alternative for saving energy at home, representing around 15% of your electricity bills. They have a lifespan of 8 years.
