Discover Skryta, the Swedish slow design brand that is 100% handmade and environmentally and socially sustainable. Founded by Maria Zeilon and Lill O. Sjöberg, the brand’s goal is to repurpose forgotten materials to create designer lighting fixtures.

Skryta was born out of a desire to slow down our fast-paced world and find alternative solutions to today’s challenges by restoring meaning to work and consumption patterns.

All materials used by the brand come from scrap left over from weaving workshops, carpentry shops, and other factories. They are then transformed into designer indoor lighting fixtures.

Each lamp is crafted in collaboration with Göteborgs Kyrkliga, a local organization in Sweden that helps reintegrate people who have been out of the workforce. As a result, each lamp is signed by the person who designed it, and you can trace the origin of its materials and learn its story using its ID number.
