Founded in 2013, Studio Matthew McCormick designs and manufactures lighting fixtures that are distributed worldwide.


This multidisciplinary studio, based in Vancouver, Canada, creates distinctive lighting and art installations. All products created by the studio are made in Canada by a network of young, dedicated manufacturers and artisans.

Studio McCormick’s philosophy is to balance traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. Indeed, all products reflect a modernist approach, an exploration of minimalist design, and a commitment to exceptional quality.

Matthew McCormick says, “I believe it’s not the sum of the parts, but the intrinsic value of how they’re put together.” Indeed, for him, lighting installations captivate through the assembly of beautiful individual objects.

Throughout his career, Matthew McCormick’s work has been recognized with various international design awards and featured in numerous magazines such as Architectural Digest, Wallpaper, and Elle Décor.
