Our lighting, from Tom Rossau

Tom Rossau is a lighting company based in Copenhagen, Denmark, specializing in birch suspensions, floor lamps, wall lamps and table lamps.

Tom Rossau was born in Odsherred, Denmark, famous for its curving landscape and the light of the northwest coast, which has attracted artists for centuries. The sculptural qualities of his native land are part of his DNA and resonate in his design philosophy.

Tom's work is guided by the intriguing relationship between geometry, materials and natural and artificial light. For him, the essence of a lamp lies in its transformation when lit; the design must be beautiful in daylight, but the real magic happens when form and material are illuminated from within.

A self-proclaimed light junkie, Tom feels compelled to turn on the lights when he enters a room and is always amazed at how completely the atmosphere and the object are altered at the flick of a switch.
