Our lighting, from a-emotional light

The a-emotional light brand was founded in 1994 in Galicia, northwest Spain, by designer Arturo Álvarez. Originally named "a by Arturo Álvarez", it reflected the personal vision of its creator. Over more than twenty-five years, Arturo Álvarez has developed a highly singular luminous universe, in which organic shapes, hand-worked textures and inspiration from nature take center stage. Thanks to this strong, artisanal identity, the brand quickly made a name for itself internationally.

From the outset, the brand has stood out for its unique philosophy: light is not simply functional, it must provoke emotion. Each luminaire is conceived as a handcrafted, hand-sculpted piece, designed to transform spaces and create sensitive atmospheres. The idea of "emotional light" has gradually become the brand's signature, as it strives to give its creations an almost artistic presence.

In 2020, an important turning point came when Arturo Álvarez left the company to devote himself entirely to his artistic activity. The brand was taken over by a new team led by Marcos Rioseco and Miguel Martínez. This transition marked the opening of a new phase: the brand moved away from a vision centered on a single person, towards collective work, open to new designers and new creative sensibilities. It is in this context that the brand officially changes its name to "a-emotional light", affirming its philosophy as an identity.

Today, a-emotional light is present in over eighty countries and its luminaires are used in a wide variety of projects: private homes, hotels, restaurants, offices and public spaces. While developing new collections and working with different designers, the brand remains deeply attached to craftsmanship, manual creation and the search for sensations through light. Its values continue to combine emotion, uniqueness, quality and natural inspiration.

Rooted in its native Galicia, but with an international reach, a-emotional light today pursues an approach that blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. Each piece is conceived as a work of light capable of creating a unique atmosphere, true to the idea that light, beyond its usefulness, brings emotions to life.
