Our lighting, from Atelier Robotiq

Atelier Robotiq is a Dutch design studio based in Rotterdam, founded by designers Soren Blomaard, Dimitrios Lakovou and Anne-Lise Heydra.

Between them, the three opt for an approach that lies in the diverse combination of knowledge and backgrounds around aerospace engineering, product design, fine art and robotics. A different approach to design that results in unexpected and exciting products.

The first works are fiber-patterned lamps in iridescent filaments inspired by dragonfly wings: a series of luminaires made by weaving fibers into geometric patterns using an industrial robot.

However, the Atelier Robotiq studio is also working on new lighting designs, as well as furniture and installations. They have built and programmed their own second-hand industrial robot (a former welding robot from the automotive industry) adapted on custom-cut wheels. Thanks to this technique, the result is very light and stylish lamps.
