Design duo Soren Blomaard and Anne-Lise Heydra join forces and create their own studio Atelier Robotiq.
Based in Rotterdam, the duo develops unique lighting fixtures through new and innovative processes.
Their different approach to design lies in the diverse combination of knowledge and background combining aerospace engineering, product design, fine arts and robotics.
This unique combination results in unexpected and exciting products, the first of which are the fiber patterned lamps. A series of lights made by weaving fibers into geometric patterns using an industrial robot.
They chose to build and program their own second-hand industrial robot (a former welding robot from the automotive industry), which allows them to make all the patterns themselves in their workshop in downtown Rotterdam,
