Our lighting, from Jieldé

Named after the initials “JL D” of its founder, Jean-Louis Domecq, the French company Jieldé was founded in the early 1950s. Originally intended for professional use in industrial settings, Jieldé lamps are now known for their timeless, sturdy, and articulated design.

Thanks to their simple and functional design, the so-called “standard” lamps quickly became the lighting of choice for factories and other workshops. By 1990, Jieldé’s designer lamps had found their way into homes and gained popularity among the general public. Their design—both raw and innovative—captivated consumers. The famous lamp, with no cables in its joints, is available in several finishes and colors. It was named “Loft,” became a flagship product, and marked the end of its industrial era.

True to its manufacturing philosophy, Jieldé has been handcrafting its timeless lighting fixtures in workshops in Lyon since its founding. This craftsmanship remains the core strength of this vintage brand, which has stood the test of time in a timeless way.

Over the years, the Jieldé brand has expanded its product line with unique, all-metal light fixtures that fit seamlessly into any interior style.
