Our lighting, from Lambert&Fils

Based in Montreal, Lambert et Fils is a collaborative lighting design studio founded by Samuel Lambert in 2010.
By his own admission, the brand name is both a tribute to his father—whose pottery studio served as an inspiring playground—and a playful yet deliberate nudge toward his young son.

The studio’s designers draw inspiration from everywhere—from the Industrial Age to Modernism, including children’s toys and nature itself—and reinterpret classic forms to create unique lighting fixtures that are both contemporary and rooted in tradition.

The creative team at Lambert et Fils seeks to craft, using a wide variety of materials (such as brass, aluminum, marble, and glass), lighting fixtures that are as functional as they are decorative. By working with local artisans (all lamps are designed and crafted in Montreal), Lambert & Fils aims to combine design with meticulous craftsmanship at every stage of production.

The brand’s success has been such that, in less than a decade, Lambert & Fils has gone from being a respected local success story to gaining international recognition. The Canadian brand now has admirers in Europe as well as in the United States, Asia, and Australia. The “100% local” lighting design house—whose pieces are conceived and crafted entirely in Montreal—has quickly become one of the leading names in contemporary design.
