Our lighting, from Magic Circus Editions

The French company Magic Circus Éditions was founded in 2015 by Marie-Lise Féry. Drawing inspiration directly from the world of cabaret and the magic of the circus, Magic Circus Éditions’ lighting collections blend fantasy, humor, and whimsy.

For the founder, the goal is to rethink and redesign familiar objects to tell new stories through light. She infuses her creations with a touch of magic, opening them up to all kinds of interpretations and creating endless scenarios. The lighting fixtures, with their light, airy designs, are playful and enchanting. They feature a retro aesthetic that is both minimalist and contemporary.

This magical world is paired with traditional craftsmanship and artisanal excellence. Materials such as brass and mouth-blown glass, as well as custom finishes, are used. All light fixtures are manufactured in Portugal. This expertise, combined with the reinterpretation of historical everyday forms, lends each creation a unique character. Each collection reimagines our relationship with everyday objects to bridge the past and the present.

Marie-Lise Féry designs her lamps with the aim of creating surprise, alternating between the illusion of airy, oversized compositions and playing with subtle references. Each collection draws on its own inspiration: from the urban lighting of yesteryear in Collection 01 to festive memories of carnivals in the new Balloon collection, and the fantastical Far East of Collection 02. The Pop-Up collection, launched in 2019, evokes the glossy, multicolored aesthetic of the 1970s.

Magic Circus Éditions thus focuses on lightness and a dreamlike quality, colors, and playfulness to re-enchant the world.
