Swabdesign is a French design agency and publishing house founded by Carolin Schittenhelm and Pierre Carpentier, who create decorative objects and lighting fixtures with passion and pragmatism to embody the philosophy of modern design, where beauty goes hand in hand with functionality, where an object evokes emotion and desire while remaining useful and relevant.

Born from the Franco-German partnership of its founders, Swabdesign is also dual in nature due to the two perspectives that blend together: that of Carolin, the artistic director, and that of Pierre, the technical director. Manufacturing in France and Germany is a steadfast commitment at Swabdesign. They design and manufacture with care, in partnership with companies that possess deep technical expertise. Furthermore, the products align with the founders’ ecological and economic convictions to minimize their carbon footprint.

Swabdesign got its start with the Mob lamp, a designer lamp with a retro look that takes us back to the moped era!
