Our lighting, in cork

Cork is a natural material and quite original. The light becomes muted and warm in an offbeat vintage style. This material is quite resistant and ecological, thus a coveted object of designers for indoor decoration. After losing popularity and disappearing from circulation after the 70s, cork is back with a new modern appeal.

The cork oak tree offers a material with a hard irregular aspect, reduced to granules of various sizes. Cork lamps play with this particular texture resulting in a very original untreated aspect. With a natural beige tint, cork used in lamps gives off a soft warm-toned light. The Portuguese brand Galula is located in close proximity to the cork forest and makes lamps exclusively in this material; for instance, the Glint lamp and the Sininho pendant lamps are extremely light and airy. Attached to a dash of bright red and yellow, they seem to float, brightening any interior. A smoked cork version which is darker, in shades of chocolate, is also found in the Sininho collection.

Cork is appropriate in any room of the house, from the kitchen to the living room not forgetting the office space. It can be colored, polished, waxed or smooth.
