APPARTEMENT BRETEUIL - STUDIO KADÉ

Architect: STUDIO KADÉ

Lighting design: Nedgis

Location: 75007 Paris

Located in Paris’s 7th arrondissement, this 190-square-meter Haussmann-style apartment has been completely redesigned for a family with three children.

The project builds on the space’s existing qualities—generous volumes, moldings, cornices, and marble fireplaces—which have been carefully preserved and restored. The layout has been completely reorganized to create spaces that are more fluid, functional, and suited to a family’s daily life. The sleeping area features a master suite, three children’s bedrooms with their own bathrooms, and a guest bedroom.

The numerous functional requirements were discreetly integrated through custom-built cabinetry, particularly for the laundry room, storage areas, and bookshelves. In the living areas, contemporary furniture complements the historic architectural elements to create an atmosphere that is at once elegant, warm, and lively. The kitchen serves as the heart of the apartment with its large central island, combining natural wood, veined stone, and clean lines.

The existing hardwood floor, which was too worn, was replaced with a herringbone-patterned floor to recapture the Parisian spirit while providing a durable finish.

A palette of natural tones, wood, stone, and metallic accents complements a carefully curated selection of furniture, lighting, and art objects.

Striking a balance between Haussmann-era heritage and contemporary living, the apartment achieves a timeless harmony, designed to evolve with the lives of its residents.
