AND THERE WAS LIGHT. Renovation of a house, Asnières, 130m2.
As is often the case in these city houses, the rooms are long and the light doesn't circulate well. The customer's first request was to bring in more light. To meet this demand, we eliminated the small spaces and created a single, large living room. But light was always going to be a problem.... So the idea came up to create a light well and extend the room onto the terrace.
And light it was! The main room became a room flooded with light. We then created different zones with different moods. Juxtaposing colors and styles works well when styles respond to each other.
In the center, the living room, with its large bench and bookcase, is home to a large corner sofa. A superb colorful rug adds a pepsy touch.
Opposite the kitchen, an office area has been designed to benefit from the skylight. The small bar between two supporting posts separates the different spaces.
