HERMEL - HEJU STUDIO
This apartment, with its classic Haussmann architecture, has been reorganized to achieve a more contemporary layout: the kitchen is now integrated into the double living-dining room. The kitchen is now integrated into the double living-dining room, creating a color appeal and perspective that enhances the existing volumes.
Patterns and color combinations were a decisive element in our work on this renovation. The colors, bold and strong, are harmoniously combined from one room to the next. We used existing elements of the architecture to bring color and create revealing contrasts.
In the living room, we emphasized the symmetry of the wall boxes with a dark blue hue. They are softened by the cornice ceiling painted pale pink. Opposite, the two-tone kitchen was custom-designed. Green and pink were combined with a terrazzo worktop whose nuances echo the existing fireplace.
In the entrance hall, the large water-green closet dialogues with an architectural wallpaper. This volume continues into the master bedroom, revealed through transparency via a black corner skylight. In the bathroom, we worked around the Memphis theme with a black and white checkerboard floor mixed with grey terrazzo. At the end of the hallway, the children's bedroom, formerly a kitchen, has been completely transformed to create a soft, soothing atmosphere.
