Designer Michael Young established his place in the design world via the perfectly executed future classics with a balanced offering of functions and finishes he designed for the brand. Committed to offering the highest quality using the most sustainable methods, EOQ's first collections were unified in their use of recycled Aluminum and in the production process. Michael Young relied on the existing factory processes that he transformed to thereby fit the creation of new decorative products. Their commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility underlies their choice of recycled Aluminum as the key material for these collections. Aluminum is the world’s most abundant metal, situated close to the earth’s surface, non-toxic and infinitely recyclable. It is one third of the weight of steel, but once alloyed, becomes quite strong. Due to a lack of electrostatic charges, it does not attract dirt and has a self-repairing natural oxide film that prevents corrosion.
