The German lighting house Grau Tobias, established in 1986 by the founder of the same name, is being taken over in 2021 by his two sons, Timon and Melchior Grau.
In a bid to infuse the brand with a touch of modernity and creativity, they decided to change its name. Formerly called Tobias Grau, it now bears the name Grau.
For them, this change is synonymous with a new beginning, which will enable everyone to identify with the brand. Both having studied at art schools, their aim is to change the perception of light, activating feelings and creating environments to which everyone can connect. So they set out to create luminaires that are both beautiful and bold.
These convey a radical sense of well-being, arousing emotions and bringing vivacity, all in a sustainable design, 100% made in Germany.
