The prestigious Maison Saint-Louis was founded in 1586 in the Munster valley in Moselle. This French crystal manufacturer produces creations in various fields: decoration, tableware, lighting and furniture. It is the oldest crystal factory in France.

Historically, the "Munster glassworks" became "Verrerie Royale" in 1767 by letters patent from King Louis XV, and became Saint-Louis. It was then renamed Cristallerie Royale de Saint-Louis, and from 1829 onwards devoted itself exclusively to crystal production. In particular, it introduced the concept of serving glasses for the table, with the famous Trianon model.

Every day, the factory produces hand-blown, hand-cut and hand-decorated crystal pieces. These are master glassmakers and master cutters, all of them among the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (Best Craftsmen of France).

Today, Saint-Louis is a factory that knows how to blend tradition and innovation, and has never ceased to draw inspiration from contemporary artistic trends to build and renew its identity. In the early 20th century, when Art Nouveau and Art Deco emerged, many designers contributed their talents to Saint-Louis, including Paul Nicolas, Jean Sala, Jean Luce, Michel Colle and Maurice Dufrène.

Since 1995, Saint-Louis has belonged to the Hermès group and continues to call on the talents of designers such as Éric Gizard, Hervé van der Straeten, Ionna Vautrin, José Lévy, Kiki van Eijk, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Paola Navone...

To this day, the manufactory remains the only site where Saint-Louis crystal pieces are made. Its workshops can be visited in addition to its museum.
