Pierre Disderot, a pioneer of modern light.

He was born in Paris in 1920 and started his studies in electricity engineering.
But he developed a sensibility for modern architecture and opens his first studio in Cachan in 1948.

At first, he was quite faithfull to the late 40s classicism, but it wasn't really a match with his progressive spirit.
It is his meeting with Marcel Gascoin, a master of modern art, and his team that really initiate him to progressivism.

Its work in collaboration with designers such as Pierre Guariche or Jospeh-André Motte gave rise to 50s iconic creations.

These iconic lights are defined by their modernity.
Pierre Disderot has been the benchmark for lighting for now more than three decades

Now we can find his best work in the most beautiful museums.
