Rony Plesl is a creative born in the Czech Republic and graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in 1990.
Rony Plesl is neither a mere designer, nor a mere sculptor, but rather both. During his career, he has experimented with several forms of fine arts using glass and other materials. His works include sculptures, individual works of applied arts, decorative items, as well as industrially produces glassware. Plesl combines a wide range of various influences and principles, intertwined and mingled in numerous forms of his artwork. His love for Italy and history of art go hand in glove with his interest in glass as a material, its structure, visual qualities and epic stories enshrined therein. The author manages to tell all the above through the amorphous material and its substantive, formal and contextual qualities.
Rony Plesl notably designed the Metamorphosis pendant lights for Bomma, in collaboration with Rückl.
