Tekio, which means "adaptation" in Japanese, fuses tradition and modernity through a distinctive, contemporary design, featuring luminous structures delicately wrapped in handmade paper. Inspired by the traditional Japanese lantern made of washi paper, which dates back to the 14th century and has become an essential part of everyday life in Japan, London-based designer Anthony Dickens has taken advantage of this timeless aesthetic. Washi paper, notably used by Isamu Noguchi, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Recognized for its exceptional strength and malleability, washi offers a warm texture that softly and subtly filters light. The Tekio Circular P8 suspension takes the form of a ring measuring 69cm in diameter and 25cm in height.

This luminaire is ideal as a centerpiece in a living room or hallway. Imposing in size, it remains elegant and poetic thanks to the materials used. Santa & Cole works with expert craftsmen in the Japanese city of Mito, renowned for its paper production, to guarantee authentic artisanal quality for every piece in the Tekio collection.

The light source is included and variable in temperature, from 2200K to 2700K.
