Bjarke Ingels Group, a leading Danish architectural firm, unveils its surprising Gople RWB pendant light, published by Artemide in 2018.

A lighting that reconciles human spaces and nature...

Gople, or jellyfish in French, is a pendant lamp made of blown glass by master glassmakers. A technique reproduced according to an ancient traditional Venetian technique. The glass is delicately coloured with a white gradient. Gople's sleek design reminds us of the famous Scandinavian style that combines purity and elegance...

While Gople is a graceful pendant, it stands out above all for its high-tech RWB (red-white-blue) system. This state-of-the-art technology helps plants grow, creates scenic or ambient effects, and provides functional white lighting.
The RWB system, patented in 2011, is a new approach to coloured light. Indeed, it is no longer RGB (red-green-blue) for the psychophysical well-being of man, but RWB (red-white-blue) for a light that respects man and the environment. Gople therefore participates in the development of your plants! How does this system work? RWB calibrates its emissions according to the PPFD values required in two phases where the appropriate light supply is crucial: the multiplication phase is accompanied by blue radiation with a wavelength of 425-450 nm, while the flowering phase is supported by red radiation between 575 and 625 nm. Gople thus combines the direct and controlled emission of RWB with an indirect white scattered light that can be controlled separately.

No need to think about where to place your plants in your home. The Gople pendant replaces natural light... Place your plants where you want, create a flowerbed or a green wall. Everything is possible thanks to this photosynthesis system that adapts to the plant's needs! No need for external intervention (except water, of course).

Two LED light sources are included. One direct (RWB, 1100 lumens, 21W) and one indirect (2700 kelvin, 2250 lumens, 39W, CRI 90, dimmable push). The glass shade measures 21cm in diameter by 42cm high.
Gople is also available in a simple version without RWB system in silver, white or copper.
