BOLIVAR APARTMENT

Architect: Heju Studio

Lighting: Nedgis

Location: 75019 Paris

The aim of renovating this apartment was to make it softer, Scandinavian and in tune with the times for a young artist. We mixed Swedish and Mediterranean inspirations to echo the owner's origins.

Volumes and lines were simplified, and the overall ambience was completely revamped. The kitchen, in Nordic hues, nestles under the staircase. A double-tiered island has been created in the center of the room, with embossed earthenware storage on one side, and a rounded wooden extension table on the other.

The kitchen has been completely redesigned. The two volumes fit together delicately, like an abstract sculpture. On the living room side, the atmosphere is more southern. A large bench covered in porcelain stoneware tiles runs the length of the wall, punctuated by a minimalist fireplace. Thin picture rails, a pinkish-beige hue and brass sconces enliven the composition.

The arched passageway, highlighted in dark blue, marks the transition to the night corner and offers a singular feature to the apartment. The immaculate white bedroom is enhanced by colorful objects. The bathroom, meanwhile, has been designed in soft shades of aqua green. The rounded, two-tone vanity unit and ribbed glass shower screen give the room its true identity. On the first level, the long desk is topped by a wooden skylight. Arches are scattered throughout the apartment, like a subtle connecting thread.
