CAIRE APARTMENT

Architect: Heju Studio

Lighting: Nedgis

Location : 75002 Paris

The apartment was conceived as an assembly of colored planes and atmospheres. The particular geometry of the site, derived from a triangular corner building, inspired an architecture composed of radical, graphic lines. Our customers' passion for travel is also expressed through the use of natural, handcrafted materials. In very poor condition, the building required extensive structural renovation. The metal beams, markers of these changes, punctuate the space and have been subtly highlighted with a pale green hue.

The large living area, once fragmented, is now the heart of the apartment. An arched glass roof, combined with a sculptural velvet bench seat, encloses the space in a theatrical fashion. The kitchen island, covered with waxed concrete and a zellige skirting board, forms an exclamation point in the overall composition. The three kitchen units outline the contours of the room. This impression is reinforced by the use of the same three complementary colors: petrol blue, garnet red and the pale gray of Carrara marble.

The entrance hall, painted entirely in a deep green, stands out visually from the living room. Cement tiles in the same tones create a link with the bathroom, designed as a small, colorful and playful volume. In the bedroom, the atmosphere is more soothing with its straight lines. Woven rattan blends with wood, inviting you to travel.
