SAUSSIER - CELINE PANSIERI
Located in the heart of the lively Place des Ternes district, this 60 m2 apartment, recently acquired by a newly married couple, had everything to please. A beautiful circulation with its star-shaped entrance, through light, a double living room that could be partitioned for another bedroom, in short, everything was already there... But, in the eyes of the owners, a renovation was necessary independently of the interior decoration.
. Ready to take on this new challenge, I first set about defining a common thread for the project, so that it would reflect a coherent identity throughout the volume. Very quickly, I chose to work on the idea of the line (Linea in Italian, in reference to my clients' country of origin), in furrow or razzle dazzle mode. Coordonne's Waves wallpaper put me on the right track, allowing me to roll out the line in a variety of ways and media: solid oak parquet laid in herringbone pattern, cushions, rugs, dining room wallpaper, cupboard doors, kitchen fronts, etc.
. The line can also be seen vertically through the glass roof opening into the dining room, echoing the verticals of the living room wallpaper. This opening maintains the decorative harmony while diffusing greater luminosity into both spaces. In terms of layout, the main idea in the living room was to open up the reception area by using the window sills with a long pedestal. The radiators have thus disappeared from view, replaced by a single radiator coiled in a niche, itself inserted in a backsplash along the wall. This backsplash also serves as a support for the corner sofa, and houses a light dedicated to panoramic wallpaper.
The other rooms have been treated in the same way: herringbone tiling in the bathroom and WC. White kitchen with striated fronts (Superfront), contrasting with a Farrow and Ball midnight blue. The existing built-in storage units were removed and replaced by new ones with sliding doors in a striped pattern.
After more than 3 months on site, the newlyweds have been able to move into their nest, and the best is yet to come...
