OPTICIAN: WITH MARLOW - PARIS BROOKLYN
This boutique is nestled in the heart of Paris's 4th arrondissement, just behind the Centre Pompidou.
Its design is a quirky nod to this former marshland area: I wanted to play with references linked to the pool world and use, for example, tiles on the shelves and mosaics on the walls.
I also imagined a counter with a tiled plinth and integrated the essential pool ladder! The design also made a point of respecting and highlighting the heritage of the Marais.
The furniture was designed so as not to be anchored in the stone wall, which is listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments. I loved imagining a contemporary space while highlighting the heritage of the place! Complete project: from design to site supervision.
