Karakter is a Danish design brand, founded by Christian Elving in 2014, specialising in the production of furniture, gallery pieces and lighting.
The essence of Karakter is based on simple designs, modernity and elegance. Karakter has chosen to collaborate with designers who share the same philosophy, namely design giants such as Achille Castiglioni, Joe Colombo, Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and many other brilliant figures. All the designers presented by the publishing house are hand-picked for their ideas and creativity.
At the heart of Karakter's philosophy is the desire to create something new:

The Awkward Light lamp and the Aida table lamp, for example, are distinguished by their minimal and essential design.

The Danish design house is renowned for its work in re-releasing design giants such as Joe Colombo and Achille Castiglioni.
The founder, Christian Elving, has worked closely with the family and the Achille Castiglioni Foundation in Milan to create faithful reproductions of the original designs.
