Janine Abraham and Dirk Jan Rol are one of the rare couple of designers at the time.

Janine Abraham, considered as one of the first French women designer, has been trained at the French school Comando by great designers such as René-Jean Caillette.
As for Dirk Jan Rol, he started his studies in Holland before joinig the Ecole Nationale Supérieur des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

They both share the same culture of inventiveness, modernity and great tradition of the French decorative arts, which pushed them to become in 1955 artistic and idyllic partners.

Then, they opened their own agency in which they designed iconic creations now exhibited in the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
Both started the design of chains such as Yves rocher or Huchers Minvielle.

Their work is inspired by the Japan and American contemporary architecture.
