AFTR Studio is a design studio founded by Lisa and Luke Henderson. Conceived in the United States and later developed in Australia, the studio operates at the intersection of art, design, and architecture. The two designers create everyday objects designed to stand the test of time and be passed down from generation to generation.
AFTR Studio’s work is characterized by clean lines, a keen eye for proportion, and an expressive use of materials. The studio embraces a timeless, sculptural aesthetic in which craftsmanship and durability are central.
For Rakumba, AFTR Studio has created the Bell collection, inspired by the textures and shapes sculpted by the ocean along the Australian coastline. Cast using the sand casting process, the wall sconces reveal a raw, textured material available in aluminum and bronze, among other finishes. With Bell, AFTR Studio transforms a deliberately simple geometry into an architectural object that blends seamlessly into both indoor and outdoor settings.
