Alex Bergman is the founder of Fatboy. His main inspiration came from the little red hat of the famous magician and comedian Tommy Cooper, to combine different hats with the Edison The Petit lamp, a series of 21 lampshades ranging from vintage Granny to the theme of 1001 nights with Mounir.
Alex Bergman travels the world, has a thousand ideas per hour, is overflowing with creativity and delivers a concept per minute. Alex Bergman is the thinking head and founder of Fatboy. His adventure began just before the year 2000, with a simple XXL footstool, now an icon. From the beginning, Alex Bergman believed in this product created by Jukka Setälä and wondered how to distribute it; he ended up answering his question by making Fatboy himself in 2002. Since then, this cosy and colourful seat has diversified the versions, the colours and has conquered more than fifty countries. The designer is fully reflected in contemporary life by multiplying the bridges between indoor and outdoor in his collections, and is totally rooted in lifestyle. As a praise of laziness, Alex Bergman insists on this spirit that underlies all these creations: "to pose, without feeling guilty, simply to take the time to... take the time! Allow yourself this lightness in our stressed lives! ».
