Born in 1991, Andrea Gelpi is a Spanish designer. She studied product design at the EINA university center for design and art in Barcelona. She later decided to deepen her knowledge of furniture by studying for a Master's degree at the Elisava School of Design and Engineering in Barcelona.
It was during this master's degree that she met Iratxe González de Viñaspre, and together they designed the Ophelia table lamp.
She has acquired extensive professional experience in different companies, studios and brands in the fields of packaging, facades, product design and lighting design. As a lighting designer, she has acquired a deep understanding of light as an intangible material with the ability to transform spaces and evoke sensations.
In 2020, she founded her own project "Blaumel Studio", a space to conceptualize, create, experiment and design products with soul.
