Anita Le Grelle is a Belgian designer and ceramicist born in Antwerp. After studying graphic design and gaining her first professional experience in advertising, she moved to London and studied sculpture at the Royal College of Art, from which she graduated in 2000.
In 2013, she turned to ceramics almost by chance and created “Terres De Rêves,” a collection that has become emblematic of her artistic vision. Her creations are distinguished by their organic forms, their deliberate irregularities, and their layered glazes, inspired by the hues of the earth, the sky, and the ocean.
Her approach is rooted in a deep commitment to craftsmanship and working with materials. She enjoys creating, deconstructing, and reusing materials to give them new life, resulting in objects that are at once poetic, sensitive, and functional.
Today, her work with Serax extends far beyond tableware to include lighting fixtures, home accessories, and scented candles. Her designs, particularly the Jack and Louis wall sconces, reflect her commitment to making every everyday object both useful and aesthetically pleasing.
