Arihiro Miyake was born in Japan in 1975. He first studied industrial design at the Kobe University of Design in Japan, then travelled to Finland to complete his master's degree in furniture and spatial design at Aalto University.

Having first worked in interior design, Miyake founded her own studio, Studio Arihiro Miyake, in 2004. Covering multiple fields such as interior, products, lighting and research, the studio has worked with many international clients. During these years, Arihiro also worked as a teacher at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and as an interior designer for the Japan Finland Design Association (JFDA).

Miyake's unique approach to design has allowed her to have her products manufactured by the internationally renowned Moooi company and to be included in the permanent collection of the Design Museum Helsinki.
