A prominent figure in the artistic milieu of the 20th century Bruno Munari is a complete artist with many facets.

Born in Milan in 1907, he became involved at a very young age in the futurist movement. In this quest for innovation, he founded the Mouvement d'Art Concret in 1948, with other artists such as Gillo Dorfles. Through this movement, he wishes to bring the world of industry and technology closer to that of Art.

His work spans many fields. He dedicates part of his career to the creation of children's books which he transforms into toys in their own right. The universe of the child and its development through creativity and imagination is the center of his research.

In his many creations he uses the square shape, which he considers reassuring for its stability and reciprocity.

During his career, he brought his creativity to many sectors, including lighting, notably with the Falkland collection, published by the Italian house Artemide.
