Elena Salmistraro is a designer, product designer and artist, who lives and works in Milan, Italy.
A graduate of Milan Polytechnic University in 2008, she has founded her own studio in 2009 with the architect Angelo Stoli, where she has since worked on architecture and design projects.
She works as a product designer and artist/illustrator for major companies in the creative industry, including Apple, Disney, Alessi, Lavazza, Bosa, Seletti, De Castelli, and many others. She also collaborates with prestigious art and design galleries, such as Dilmos, Camp Design Gallery, Secondome...
Her creations are the result of a combination of art and design; the greatest attention to detail, the meticulous search for harmony of form and poetic style characterize his projects. One of the priorities of her work is to create emotions through her products.
Her projects have been selected for some of the most important art exhibitions: "The New Italian Design", a travelling exhibition organized by the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
In 2016, during the 21st edition of the Milan Triennial International Exhibition, she will participate in W-Women in Italian Design, the ninth edition of the Triennial Design Museum.
She was appointed Global Ambassador of Italian Design in 2017 on the "Italian Design Day", an initiative promoted by the Milan Triennial in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Heritage and Cultural Activities. Since then, she has participated in meetings in Zurich and Rome/Farnesina 2018.
In 2018, she was appointed Brera Design District Ambassador for FuoriSalone at the Milan Furniture Fair and for this occasion, she designed an installation for Timberland in the heart of the district.
