Born in 1972 in Ibiza, Eugeni Quitllet is a Catalan designer graduated from the Llotja art school in Barcelona. He describes himself as a "Disoñador". "Disoñador" is an invented word which is a combination of designer and dreamer: this is how Eugeni Quitllet is defined.
Having grown up in Barcelona, he is a successful designer who works with lighting that goes far beyond the simple combination of form and function, he explores the relationship between emptiness and block.
Discovering elegant silhouettes hidden in the material or even imagining a future freed from the force of gravity constitutes for him a real passion. We find the theme of weightlessness in many of his creations, produced for major brands and awarded with prestigious international distinctions. His meeting with Foscarini led to the birth of the Satellight project, a light that fluctuates in space, captured in a glass bell.
