John Tree is a London-based designer who, while working alongside Jasper Morrison, founded his own studio in 2016.
Following his degree from Kingston University, he worked for major groups, notably on electronic devices.
He imagines and designs various products and furniture for domestic and professional use. Thanks to his experience in a wide range of sectors, John Tree's innovative creations have won him awards in the design world.
He also holds international patents, proof of his daily inventiveness.
He likes to design functional products, whose form allows flexibility of use. He is also interested in the economic aspect of his creations, which is why product longevity is central to his work.
This last point is perfectly represented by his collaboration with the Danish brand Hay, around the Apex luminaire collection.
The luminaires are available in a variety of formats to suit different needs, and the materials chosen are robust to last the test of time.
